This short report is yet another chapter from a forthcoming monograph on the Organised Violence
and Torture (OVT) that has afflicted Zimbabwe from 1980, and the violations that took place in
the country known during the time as Rhodesia from 1972 to 1980 when independence finally
came. It follows the previous report that dealt with the OVT that took place during the Liberation
War, and mostly the period from 1972 to 1980, as well as reports on OVT and elections, OVT
during peaceful protest, and Assistance to the Survivors of
Organised Violence and Torture
